IOS Press has published the ITHC Proceedings and book series : IOS Press publishes the books series Studies in Health Technology and Informatics. The series is indexed in Medline and available both in print and electronically on www.booksonline.iospress.nl. The platform allows pay per article. Commencing its publishing activities in 1987, IOS Press publishes some 85 journals, ranging from computer science and mathematics to medicine and the natural sciences. Next to journals, around 100 books are published each year.
Original contributions are around the broad conference themes of: • Socio-technical approaches to the evaluation of the impact of health information systems on work and patient care • Workplace and work practice studies of IT including ethnographic and observational studies and those for design requirements for new technologies • Safe system design, human-centred design, design methods for complexity, risk and safety; Cognitive issues in complex display design • Studies of communication, including team work, in health care organizations • Studies of decision-making for complex problems in complex systems • Design and testing of innovative system evaluation and design methods, models, techniques and approaches • Understanding human error and safety and how IT can help • Measuring system behaviours, eg using social network analyses and computer simulation |
