Third International Conference Information Technology in Health Care (ITHC2007): Socio-technical approaches 28-30 August 2007 Carlton Crest Hotel Sydney, Australia
The conference aims to bring together an international contingent of researchers studying the relationship between technical aspects of information systems in health, and the human, social, and organizational dimensions. It is only through a deep understanding of this complex socio-technical interaction that we are able to design safe and effective systems for use in the real world. Socio-technical approaches to design, implementation and evaluation of health information systems of necessity draw upon the expertise of a wide-range of disciplines. The conference therefore seeks to attract health informatics researchers but also researchers in the social, computer, information, safety, cognitive and clinical sciences.
